Job Role Details
PHYSIOTHERAPIST – LIVERPOOL LADIES
This role is responsible for the provision of the physiotherapy service for all Players within the Liverpool Ladies team. This role will liaise with football management staff and will work to optimise Player performance and ensure the overall health of all Liverpool Ladies Players.
This role will provide pitch side emergency first aid and physiotherapy to Liverpool Ladies Players where required. This role will be in attendance at all training sessions and games.
This role and will provide medical care, which may include prescribing medication, obtaining specialist opinions where appropriate and coordinating investigations and operative procedures as required. In addition, this role will be responsible for diagnosing injuries and will establishing and deliver appropriate treatments and rehabilitation programmes. In addition, this role will implement appropriate preventative strategies, including vaccinations.
This role will deliver a highly professional physiotherapy service and will maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
The successful candidate will be a registered member of the Health Care Professions Council (HPC) as a Chartered Physiotherapist and will have adequate indemnity insurance. They will have an up to date Advanced Emergency Aid qualification, which should be the Football Association Advanced Resuscitation and Emergency Aid Certificate (AREA). They will also have a desire to undertake Continued Professional Development (CPD).
The successful candidate will have post-graduate experience of working in a professional sports performance environment and will understand the support strategies needed in such environments.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organisation skills and will have a reliable, conscientious and flexible approach and must be willing to work unsociable hours, including weekends. They will demonstrate role model behaviours, which create and promote high aspirations and achievements for all members of the team. They will have the ability to work collaboratively within a professional and pressurised environment and will create and maintain excellent working relationships at all levels.
This role sits within the Liverpool Ladies Football Club and regularly interacts with Liverpool Ladies Players and football management and coaching staff. This role will report directly to the Liverpool Ladies First Team Manager.
TERMS & CONDITIONS-
This role is a full time, permanent role, working 35 hours per week on a 5 from 7 days basis and is based at the Select Stadium, Halton, Widnes.
