Salary: Dependent on skills and experience plus relocation package for applicants outside of the Sussex area

Location: American Express Elite Football Performance Centre, Lancing

Hours: This is a full-time role requiring flexibility to work evenings and weekends

The job:

You'll need to have lots of enthusiasm and motivation in this role. We are offering the privileged position to develop and coach our category one academy players. You will coach our elite players primarily in the U13-U14 age group and prepare them for elite professional football at the highest level.

You will support the development of transition for players from Foundation to the Youth Development Phase (9v9-11v11). In addition, you will have the opportunity to research and undertake innovative projects for the development of the department.

What does the day to day look like?

Coaching high quality football sessions! The successful candidate will coach the U13 academy squad but will also work closely with the foundation and youth development phase coaches to deliver coaching sessions to our U11-U14 age groups in the evenings, on day release and at weekends.

You'll need to be organised and engaging as you'll be planning a training programme for these age groups which needs to fulfil the criteria set out in the EPPP for Category 1 Academy status. Your primary focus will be the development of players transitioning between the phases.

This is an important role as you will be monitoring, assessing and recording players both in training and in match performances, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to maximise the opportunity for our young players to reach their full potential. Time will also be allocated for you to research and undertake innovative projects for the development of the department.

What we need:

We are looking for someone with extensive knowledge and experience of football coaching in a professional environment. To be considered for our youth development phase coach position, you will need to hold the following qualifications:

- UEFA A Licence

- Member of the FA Licensed Coachesu00bf Club

- A valid and accepted enhanced FA DBS CRC (or be willing to undertake this check if successful)

- Advanced Youth Award

- Valid FA Emergency Aid Certificate (FA Level 1 Introduction to First Aid in Football (IFAiF)

- Valid FA Safeguarding Children Certificate
