Marshall the Man for Strachan’s Scotland

director David Marshall has once again been called up for international duty with Scotland.
The Cardiff City captain cemented his place as first choice goalkeeper in during the Euro 2016 qualifying campaign, turning in some excellent performances as the Scots finished third in Group D behind Germany and the Republic of Ireland.
Gordon Strachan's squad take on Malta in their opening qualifying game for World Cup in 2018 on Sunday 4th September. Marshall is one of three goalkeepers selected by Strachan, alongside the experienced Craig Gordon and the uncapped Jack Hamilton of Hearts.
client Gordon Greer, now of Blackburn Rovers, also made the cut and there is a call-up for Fulham's uncapped midfielder Kevin McDonald.
Strachan has yet to confirm who will take over the captaincy from the retired Scott Brown.
Scotland and Malta are joined in Group F by England, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Lithuania.
