James Hollman

Sport Careers Agency client Jim Hollman has been appointed Northampton Town's new goalkeeping coach.

Jim started his coaching career as early as 1998 with Ipswich Town before becoming goalkeeping coach at Norwich City in 2000 aged just 23. He went on to spend seven years with the Canaries where future England goalkeeper Robert Green would benefit from his coaching methods.

Since departing Carrow Road in 2007, Jim has since returned to Ipswich Town before moving on to coach with the likes of Cardiff City, the FA and most recently Motherwell in Scotland.

In this time, Jim was part of the coaching team who helped Ipswich reach the 2011 League Cup semi-final. He was also part of the Cardiff City coaching set up to win promotion to the Premier League after the Blue Birds topped the Championship table in 2013/14.

Northampton Town's Manager, Justin Edinburgh, spoke to the club's media team on the appointment:

"I am delighted to bring in Jim who is a hugely respected goalkeeping coach.

"He has worked with and helped develop some established international and Premier League goalkeepers and he enjoyed some notable success when working with Norwich City, Ipswich Town and Cardiff City, where he worked with David Kerslake, who speaks very highly of him.

"He is a fantastic appointment for us and I am sure the keepers here will benefit from working with Jim."
