Gary Locke

Sport Careers Agency clients Gary Locke and Darren Jackson led Raith Rovers to a 2-0 in their opening SPFL Championship fixture away to Ayr United.

The new management duo saw their side secure the three point with goals from Ross Callachan and Ross Matthews.

Away fans were treated to a second half league debut from their most high profile summer signing- Hearts legend Rudi Skacel.

Manager Locke was understandably upbeat after the match:

"I inherited a good squad when I took over but I wanted to add better players and I think I have done that.

There is a long way to go and we certainly haven't arrived yet.

"In the first half we were excellent at times and could have been a couple of goals up.

"A lot of people were frustrated in the summer but myself and Darren Jackson were working away as wanted the right players in."
