SAVE THE WALES...Mark Hudson and Steve Morison have a remit to keep Cardiff City in the Championship

MARK HUDSON is back in football as First Team Coach at English Championship side Cardiff City.

A favourite at the Welsh club as a player, Hudson is part of a new regime at the Bluebirds headed up by his fellow Sport Careers Agency client Steve Morison who has been appointed the First Team Manager for the remainder of the 2021/22 season.

Cardiff owner Tan Sri Vincent Tan said: "I have been encouraged by the team's improved performances over the past three games, with the adoption of a more attractive and progressive style of football.

"What's more, I think that the excellent work done by Steve at U23 level this season puts them in the very best position to help develop a talented crop of young players emerging at senior level.

"I'm also very pleased that Mark is returning to the club as part of the coaching set-up.

"A healthy finish in the Championship this season is, of course, of paramount importance. A review of the side's progress will be undertaken at the end of the campaign."

In a recent in-depth interview on our site Mark spoke fondly of his days playing at Cardiff City under Malky Mackay.

Now he returns to Wales on a mission to help Morison drive the club away from the Championship drop zone as they currently lie 20th in the cut-throat 24-team division.
