FRANK SINCLAIR: NEW ASSISTANT MANAGER AT DONCASTER ROVERS
- Moves up from previous role as Youth Development Phase Coach
- Will work with new boss Gary McSheffrey after they impressed in interim charge
- Mission for 2022 is now to keep the club in England’s League One
FRANK SINCLAIR will begin 2022 as the new permanent assistant manager of English League One club Doncaster Rovers.
And the former Chelsea favourite starts the new year with a clear mission to keep the backmarkers in the division.
The 50-year-old Sport Careers Agency client will work alongside new boss Gary McSheffrey after the pair gelled well together in a spell in interim charge.
Frank, who made a total of more than 750 appearances and also starred in the Premiership for Leicester City, was capped 28 times for Jamaica in a superb playing career.
Now Sinclair, who has had roles in Academy football at both Stoke City and Port Vale, takes another step forward in his next chapter in the game after joining Rovers earlier this year as a Youth Development Phase coach.
There is no holiday rest for Frank in this mission as Doncaster travel to fellow strugglers Morecambe in a key match on Sunday January 2 with only six points separating the bottom six clubs in League One.
