Allen is a UEFA Pro licensed football manager with a hands on approach to team coaching and player development established over the course of a 17 year coaching career from academy to senior level.

Most recently the Manager of the Gibraltar National Team, Allen was an influential figure in professionalising the national structure, improving the team’s performances and securing UEFA membership for the country in 2013.

Prior to this Allen led the development of one of the most successful academies in Eastern Europe at Slovakian club MFK Košice, ensuring the club was able to build and maintain a sustainable production line of young talent into the senior squad.

Allen thrives on new challenges and strives to achieve the best possible outcome in each task he undertakes. His focus is always on taking teams to the next level and he has a consistent record in working collaboratively with the players and staff to achieve this.

Key Achievements

  • Managed Gibraltar for 47 games, achieving a win ratio of 78% prior to UEFA entry against predominantly professional teams from the English and Spanish second tier
  • First year as Uefa member achieved, draw against Slovakia, draw against Estonia, win against Faroe islands, win against Malta
  • Played against World Champions Germany in Nuremburg, Uefa Euro quaifiers and lost a respectable 4-0
  • Key part of the delegation that successfully lobbied for and prepared Gibraltar for UEFA membership
  • Led the MFK Kosice academy (incorporating over 400 players and 24 full-time coaches) to international recognition, receiving widespread acclaim from the British media including Sky Sports for having one of the best youth systems in Eastern Europe
  • From 2006 to 2010 the senior team at MFK Kosice was comprised of 83% academy graduates
  • Several young players from MFK Kosice were sold on to bigger European clubs, most notably current Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic
  • Part of the Sky Documentary, the story of Gibraltar National football team
