Key Achievements
- Lead on the design and delivery at Airdrieonians FC of structured training sessions for the U15s squad, working in line with the manager’s strategies and players’ individual capabilities and fitness levels to facilitate development and success
- Made a tangible impact on the development of several U15 players, including nine who have progressed to the U17 squad at Airdrieonians FC
- Work throughout Partick Thistle’s academy in several different capacities, including coaching the 2005 boys and the U16 girls in the junior academy and leading community workshops in schools to encourage and increase children’s participation in football
- Assisted in coordinating the coaching and performance of the first team competing in the West of Scotland Amateur Second Division, delivering a structured training programme to players aged between 18 to 40 at Craigneuk Amateurs
- Managed the training of the third and fourth year boy’s teams at Hamilton College within the West of Scotland Schools League, playing a key role in developing and implementing a new philosophy that drove the school on to its most successful season
- Acted as a key point of contact for any parents who had any issues, queries or concerns regarding their child at Hamilton College
- Combined playing responsibilities with coaching duties to deliver age-appropriate training to the club’s U10 sides, utilising playing experience to support players development and facilitate their transition from 7-a-side to 11-a-side football at Clyde FC
- Signed his first pro-youth contract as a player at the age of 12, working up through the ranks of the Scottish game to play for the likes of Livingston FC, Celtic FC and finally Motherwell FC.
