Darren Murphy

Senior First Team Coach

  • Date Joined: 8th August 2019
I recently worked in the Irish Football Association as an Elite Performance Coach in the IFA Elite Development Programme, where I coached the NIU16, NIU17 and NIU19 teams. I was involved in over 30 Internationals with these 3 teams. I also worked in the JD Club NI programme for the IFA, bringing younger teams to fixtures and tournaments all over Europe. During my time in the IFA JD Club NI programme I coached over 30 young players that secured contracts in England and Scotland with professional clubs.

June 2018 I was appointed First Team Coach at Linfield FC. During that season we went on to win the NIFL Premier Division and also the Bet McClean League Cup. In 2019.

I am a former Irish League Professional Footballer, having played for Dungannon Swifts (6 years), Linfield (5 years) and Glenavon (8years) where I was Club Captain for the final 2 years.

I managed and coached Dungannon Swifts for 7 years in the NIFL Premier Division.
