Katrin Kaarna

  • Date Joined: 30th August 2016
I am a forward-thinking and highly experienced UEFA Pro Licence Head Coach who has cultivated an impressive record of achievements within the game through my coaching roles in the United States and Estonia.

As a former international footballer, I have made the seamless transition into coaching, at club and international level, and I have established a proven track record in player development through the design and implementation of coaching programs.

Furthermore I am a visible leader and mentorship figure with a wealth of experience within the coach education sector who can deliver pathways for UEFA coaching qualifications. I also embrace new challenges and positions of increased responsibility.

Testimonials:

“Katrin was not only my assistant with the Estonia Women’s and Girls National Teams, she was a valued friend and had a work ethic and dedication to the role that was above and beyond. A loyal and trustworthy individual, with a people orientated personality and a player comes first mentality. She, however, was more than capable of instilling and maintaining discipline. A proven developer of not only players but also has extensive experience in coach education and developing young coaches.” - Keith Boanas: Former Head Coach and Technical Director, Estonia Women’s and Girls National Teams

“Katrin is a super passionate coach. When I played for her in the U17 and U19 National Team, I always admired how professional and goal-oriented she is. Katrin inspired me to share the knowledge and help others to give their maximum effort. That’s why I started my journey as a coach and I always keep in mind my vision to be step-by-step as great as leader as Katrin is.” - Mari-Ann Ploompuu: Former Estonia Women’s National Team Youth International

“Katrin has been a huge asset in maximising our team’s performance, helping us to one of our most successful campaigns for our varsity NCAA Division II collegiate soccer program. I had identified Katrin as the top youth premier coach in the area and she transitioned seamlessly into the college environment and immediately made a positive impact. She is a great coach, not just because of her ability to apply and pass on her knowledge of the game but due to her ability to relate to our players. She carries herself with the utmost professionalism, serves as an excellent role model and brings a can-do attitude every day.” - Sarah McClellan: Women’s Soccer Head Coach, Roberts Wesleyan College

“When I first started premier soccer, my brother George, who has been coached by Katrin, told me I should join her Rochester Futbol Club 03 Girls team. I joined her team in my Freshman year of high school and trained hard with the team. Coach Katrin advanced my soccer skills and always held me to a high standard, which helped me grow and mature as a young player. She taught us that success is achieved by pushing the limits and being committed to playing hard at practice and games. Her constant help and guidance over the past few years has helped me to believe in my dreams and go after them with confidence. She has changed the game for me and I wouldn’t have been able to pursue my dream of playing Division 1 soccer without her.” - Sophia Konstantinou
