- Achieved a 55% win ratio at Shamrock Rovers while leading the club to European qualification and the semi-finals of the League of Ireland Cup two seasons in a row
- Fulfilled the remit of guiding Hibernian to safety after arriving during the 2011/12 season, before guiding them to the final of the Scottish Cup two seasons in a row as well as the 2013/14 UEFA Europa League
- Won the 2008 League of Ireland and FAI Cup double, the 2009 League of Ireland and League of Ireland Cup double, and the 2010 Setanta Sports Cup to seal five trophies in three seasons with Bohemians
- Missed out on three consecutive title wins in 2010 after finishing second with Bohemians on goal difference
- Managed Bohemians in 10 European fixtures, winning four games and drawing three
- Left Bohemians with a league win ratio of 61.7% and an overall win ratio of 60.92%

- Won two games out of three as National U23 Manager with a side comprised entirely out of League of Ireland players
